Course Description

The Handcuffing Training Class is an intensive two (2) hour hands on certification course, involving practical and tactical handcuffing and search techniques in different situations. It is conducted by a Golden State Training Center Instructor who is a certified law enforcement training instructor.  Handcuffs are provided for use during the class.  A training completion certificate is issued after successful completion of the class.  Since this is a hands-on training course, students are asked to dress appropriately for “physical” training.  Classes are scheduled based upon a minimum of 4 students in attendance, and an even number of students in attendance is preferred, in order to practice handcuffing techniques on each other.  Cost of the class is $85.

Two (2) Elective hours of Continuing Education (AB 2880) is granted for current BSIS certified security officers, after successful completion of this class.
