Course Description

The Pepper Spray Training class is a minimum two (2) hour certification course, which exceeds the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Chemical Agents training and certification requirements. A training completion certificate is issued after successful completion of the class, which allows a licensed security officer to carry pepper spray while on duty (with employer approval).  Cost of this course is $85. Call us directly to express interest in attending. Classes are scheduled based upon attendance of a minimum of 3-4 students.
 
Due to liability concerns, pepper spray training courses no longer are able to spray students with inert sprays and most no longer are even able to utilize inert training sprays for even application upon fixed training targets.  

Golden State Training Center is the only training center in Northern California, that utilizes an interactive 3D digital trainer that incorporates an IR laser activated pepper spray canister.  This simulator allows our students to immerse themselves into realistic and real time situational incidents, where they can make personal defense decisions, which include application of pepper spray in their defense, prior to potential future real life incidents they may find themselves involved.  Upon proper placement and IR pepper spray canister activation, the 3D assailant even realistically reacts as if they have been sprayed with pepper spray, This state of the art video simulator, brings a whole new level of advanced training for our students.

Two (2) Elective hours of Continuing Education (AB 2880) is granted for current BSIS certified   security officers, after successful completion of this class.
